Couple Of The Year (Magazine PS)
Artist Statement: I chose this picture because not only has Leo been my celebrity crush, but also we look perfect together. I took a picture of Leo from the Internet and used the lasso tool to cut out his girlfriend and replace it with his new girlfriend, AKA me. I then added the white text so it would pop and be easy to read. I used the brush tool to fill in certain areas to match the background. Lastly, I wanted to the RollingStone logo to be identical to real magazine, so I used the lasso tool to insert the logo, giving a real crisp feel. I am sure one day this will make the cover of the real RollingStone magazine.

Water On The Moon
This is a logo for an athletic clothing company called Water On The Moon in which all the proceeds go to cancer research. The slogan for Water On The Moon is A chance at life in every dimension. I wanted the logo to be simple and not too busy.

Logos From Different Companies
The Twitter logo is a white bird with a bright blue background. Twitter has become an extremely popular social media plat form in recent years. The twitter logo is very distinguishable for the younger generation. Most social network logos look very similar to one another in the sense that they all have some sort of shape or letter with a solid background. I think the creators of Twitter wanted their logo to be easily distinguished as a social network, yet have an original aspect to it.
The Olympic Game's logo is comprised of five colored rings, blue, black, red, yellow, and green with a plain white background. The logo was created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the co-founder of the modern olympic games. The rings are supposed to represent colors that appear on the flags of the countries that participate in the games. I like this logo because it is very simple but it involves every country with the colors he chose. When creating successful logos I think it is very important that the targeted audience feels involved in some way (in this case, participating countries).
FedEx is a well known delivery company that is short from Federal Express. What makes the FedEx logo unique apart from other logos is it it's use of negative space. The the white space behind the "Ex" creates a white arrow. The arrow is a representation of their fast delivery services. I can only assume that the creating process for this logo was not easy. Lindon, the creator of FedEx had to manipulate the font to create a clear arrow. I also think the colors of the FedEx logo is unique compared to other logos. The uncommon color scheme of the logo is purple and orange. Today, you don't see too many companies using those colors within their logos.
This is American Airline's logo. I read somewhere that American Airlines is the only airline that yet to modify their logo since the airline was founded which I thought was very interesting. American Airlines is a well known airline and anyone that travels often are familiar with the logo. Their logo consists of only two colors, red and blue, and very little detail.
Here is Chanel's logo. The logo consists of two C's which are the initials of the designer Coco Chanel. The logo is extremely well known in the fashion industry. I like Chanel's logo because it is very simple and looks good on every Chanel product.
